Cut and finished by hand, the finely embroidered edges are crafted using the Steil technique - a dense, corded stitch that reinforces the border and creates clean lines that never fray. Crafted from a fine linen chosen for its natural strength, sheen, and tactile depth, the fabric grows more beautiful with use. 

Every collection from La Gallina Matta begins with the hand of Claudia Petruzzi Granato. Her designs reinterpret the Italian table tradition through a contemporary lens, guided by understated and functional elegance.

In the case of coated linen, daily maintenance is simple and sustainable. A simple wipe with a sponge is enough to remove stains and have a clean table instantly.
