Shipping Confirmation

The French Tangerine will accept your order by sending you an email confirming the shipment of your order. (Shipping Confirmation) 

In the Shipping Confirmation, The French Tangerine will provide the estimated shipping date and other relevant information such as tracking information for the shipment. It is your responsibility to read the shipment, delivery, and insurance terms and conditions.

Cancellation Policy

If the product(s) is available at the time of the order and there have been no material changes in availability, price, or specifications, the order will be deemed final.

Backordered Products

If the product(s) is backordered, The French Tangerine may, in its sole discretion, permit you to cancel the order.

As soon as the information becomes available, The French Tangerine will notify you by email or phone if the product(s) ordered is on backorder. If the information is available you will also be notified of the expected availability and approximate shipping date.  If you cannot be reached through the email or phone information provided, your right to cancel remains in effect for one (1) Business Day from the date of notification. If you elect to cancel, you must cancel within one (1) business day of the date of backorder notification and must cancel by calling or emailing The French Tangerine. Your cancelled order is subject to the Refund Policy.

After one (1) business day, The French Tangerine may place the order.  If the item is on backorder, and you cannot be reached to discuss the backorder within one (1) business day, The French Tangerine may place the order with the supplier. 

Changes in Price or Specifications 

If there have been material changes in price or specifications, The French Tangerine may, in its sole discretion, permit you to cancel the order.

As soon as the information becomes available, The French Tangerine will notify you by email or phone of any changes in price or specifications.  If you cannot be reached through the email or number provided within one (1) business day from the date of notification, your order will be cancelled.

Discontinued Products

If the product ordered has been discontinued or is otherwise completely unavailable, The French Tangerine will permit the cancellation of the order.

As soon as the information becomes available, The French Tangerine will notify you by email or phone that your ordered product has been discontinued or is completely unavailable.  If you cannot be reached through the email or number provided, your order will be cancelled.

Refund Policy

The French Tangerine is serious about the quality of the merchandise being sold on this website. You are encouraged to inspect your purchase upon it's arrival. In the event that damage has occurred in transit, or if you discover any defect in manufacture, please contact us immediately (within 5 Business Days of delivery) so that the manufacturer can be notified on your behalf.

All sale items and custom orders are final purchase and cannot be returned or exchanged. 

Many vendors charge a restocking fee for returns. When available, this information will be communicated to you at checkout or in your Order Confirmation. 

The French Tangerine cannot guarantee that the Supplier will accept returns. 

Original delivery charges, if applicable, are not refundable.

Please contact The French Tangerine for instructions BEFORE returning any merchandise. As it turns out, very few items can be returned. I will contact the vendor on your behalf and let you know how to proceed. If you have received confirmation from The French Tangerine to return an item, please pack and return merchandise in its original packaging. Ship the package with a carrier that can provide tracking and insurance.  Make sure you confirm if the package should be returned to the vendor or The French Tangerine. You are responsible for all shipping costs for returned merchandise.

In the event your order is cancelled, your credit card charge will be voided or credited back to the original form of payment used when the order was placed.

If your order is cancelled because of supplier bankruptcy or insolvency, The French Tangerine will attempt to recover funds from the supplier.  If The French Tangerine is unsuccessful recovering funds, we will guarantee, at a minimum, to refund any part of the price paid in excess of the supplier's price, including any shipping costs.

Of course, The French Tangerine is available to help you if your order is damaged, defective, or does not conform to your Order Confirmation.  At a minimum, we will provide you with the Supplier’s return policy and assist you in the process of obtaining a repair and replacement as soon as possible.

If you receive damaged, defective, or non-conforming goods, you must notify The French Tangerine by email or phone within five (5) Business Days of receipt of the order.

If you receive damaged, defective, or non-conforming goods, The French Tangerine will contact the Supplier on your behalf and; the repair or replacement will be handled by the Supplier or the Carrier; the Supplier may require that you submit your claim directly to the Carrier; and it is your responsibility to keep all original packaging materials and to keep the item in unused condition.

At the time of delivery, the Buyer must carefully inspect the order to ensure there is no damage or defect.

At the time of delivery, you MUST NOTIFY THE CARRIER of any damage or defect that can be observed upon inspection. BEFORE THE DELIVERY PERSON(S) LEAVE, you must note any damage or defect on the delivery receipt. If you fail to make note of the damage or defect, you may be deemed to have accepted the goods in the condition delivered and you may waive your right to file a claim with the carrier.

At the time of delivery, the Buyer must carefully inspect the order to ensure that the order conforms to the written order confirmation. If you receive non-conforming goods, you must contact us WITHIN FIVE (5) BUSINESS DAYS.  

If your receipt of non-conforming goods is a result of our own error, The French Tangerine will be fully responsible for processing the return, delivering a replacement product, and paying all return shipping and related costs. 

Force Majeure

Delivery is contingent upon all supply channels being available and timely. The French Tangerine is not responsible for any delays or failure to deliver, when such delay or failure is caused by events outside of our control.

Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT WILL THE FRENCH TANGERINE BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY OTHER ECONOMIC LOSS ARISING FROM BREACH OR ANY OTHER CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR PURCHASE OF ANY PRODUCT LISTED FOR SALE ON THIS WEBSITE.

Dispute Resolution

You and THE FRENCH TANGERINE agree to resolve any controversy, dispute, or claim arising out of or related to your purchase of any product listed for sale on this website by binding Arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association.

This agreement to arbitrate is intended to be broadly interpreted and covers all controversies, disputes, or claims arising out of or related to your purchase, including but not limited to contract, tort, and statutory claims.

Governing Law

This Contract is governed by the laws of the State of NEBRASKA

Fees & Taxes  

All products ordered through The French Tangerine and delivered to locations in Nebraska will be subject to the sales tax applicable in your county.  

Shipping & Delivery

The French Tangerine buys the product directly from the Supplier.  

Most Suppliers arrange for shipping and delivery through their preferred Carrier, or the best available Carrier.  In other cases, The French Tangerine will arrange for shipment and delivery through the best available Carrier. Please note: In most cases, your purchase will not be coming from The French Tangerine, but will be drop shipped from the vendor.

The French Tangerine will only ship to the 48 contiguous states in the United States.

Buyer’s Obligations Prior to Delivery

If the Carrier does not provide you with their shipping and delivery terms and conditions it is your responsibility to ask the Carrier about their terms and conditions.  

For example, for most furniture items, the Carrier may require the Buyer to measure all stairwells, hallways, doorways, and elevators to ensure adequate clearance.  Also, most Carriers require that the Buyer keep all original packaging.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are based on the vendor's stipulations. Shipping costs for all orders will be applied at checkout.
