Wooden Frame with Bees on Brooch
Discover the Buzz Behind Museum Bees
Museum Bees are one-of-a-kind creations by artist Trace Mayer, who transforms antique frame fragments from 1860–1880 into charming, collectible works of art. At the center of each piece is a decorative ornament—originally inspired by Napoleon’s Bee—that has since evolved to include animals, insects, heirlooms, and small antique treasures like horse brasses, pre-Columbian fragments, and vintage cameos.
Each Bee is a celebration of history and craftsmanship—imperfectly perfect, and entirely unique. Standard Bees are priced at $55, while those featuring special ornaments from personal collections are $65.
